Stained Glass (Hangul: 유리화) aka Glass Flower, is a South Korean television series produced by the SBS in 2004. The original television series has a total of 18 episodes. The title of the television series literally refers to the stained glass artwork found in Roman Catholic Churches.
SYNOPSIS
During their childhood Gi-tae and Dong-joo were abandoned by their parents. In the orphanage, they grew up and became best friends. After tragedy, Ji-soo was transferred to the orphanage where Gi-tae and Dong-joo were. At the same time both boys fell for Ji-soo. One day while in the church three of them made a vow: Dong-joo and Gi-tae made a promise to take care of and protect Ji-soo in the absence of one another. While trying to retrieve the Ocarina from the river, Dong-joo got caught in the current and was presumed drowned. In fact, Dong-joo was saved and later adopted by a rich couple in Japan who could not have any child; 12 years later Dong-joo returned to Korea as a Japanese gentleman by the name of Yuichi Yamamoto. His feelings towards Ji-soo started to develop as his friendship with Gi-tae began to unravel.
